Students can make up a class if you have to miss your regularly scheduled class. You must make up your class within the session. Everyone starts in Beginner I, regardless of dance background. Every teacher has their own unique syllabus, and you need to know my techniques and terminologies before you can effectively advance. Sorry, no drop-ins. Email or call me for more info. :)
Intermediate I Intro to Performance
Structured improvisation and short choreographies will be the basis of this class, with work on props and layering movement technique. Introduction to stage presence, choreographic principles, and use of space will be emphasized. Be prepared to purchase middle eastern music cds for home practice. Participation in this class is by audition only.
Beginner I Fundamentals
For the new student, or for those looking to refine
their understanding of the basic movements.
Everyone starts here, regardless of dance background.
Most people stay here for 2-3 sessions, talk to me
if you think you're ready sooner than that. Finger
cymbals are a core part of the curriculum, please bring
them to every class. They are available in the Store. Class practice cd also available.

NEW! Multilevel Drills & Zils
Technique, technique, technique! We’ll be exploring new drills for strength & stamina, and incorporating more complex patterns, rhythms and combinations with the finger cymbals. This is an advanced beginner/intermediate level class; you must have a solid understanding of middle eastern movement and finger cymbal technique to participate.
